Otsego Club & Resort, previously named Hidden Valley Resort, is a Public, 36 hole golf facility located in Gaylord, Michigan. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses, they are: The Classic Course and The Tribute Course.
The Classic Vourse opened for play in 1957. The Classic was designed by William H. Diddel, and became the founding course of the Gaylord Golf Mecca. The traditional, "Country Club" design of The Classic provides a no gimmicks honest approach to the game.
The Classic is a favorite among golf course traditionalists, the golf course sits in a beautiful parkland setting overlooking the famed Sturgeon River Valley just one mile from downtown Gaylord.
Playing to a maximum distance of 6,348 yards, the course offers enough challenges for the most skilled golfers and wide fairways for the beginner. The Classic is a sleeper amidst the big name resort courses in this area. The greens are kept at a very quick pace and are considered by some players the best in Northern Michigan. The signature hole, #18, is a par 4 measuring 310 yards from the back tees - where golfers hit from one ski slope top to another. A glance back from the #18 green offers the same panoramic twenty mile view as seen from the historic main lodge.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,348 yards, 69.8 / 121
White tees: par-72, 6,109 yards, 69.0 / 119
Red tees: par-72, 5,623 yards, 71.5 / 113

The course was in beautiful shape. The fairways were excellent shape. The rough was a little high, but so what! Hit them in the fairways. Avoid the food/bar facilities, eat at Jac's place. I would travel 500 miles to play the course.
